Chili Chipotles whole pod CLEMENTE JACQUES 380 g can. These are delicious pickled chili chipotles in a fine fiery red marinade made from tomatoes and various spices. The chipotles give your dishes a sweet, smoky, fiery touch and taste delicious with all kinds of dishes. The chipotles were probably invented by the Aztecs, probably in northern Mexico. It is said that the Aztecs smoked the chilis because the thick, fleshy jalapeño was difficult to dry and spoiled quickly. Smoking made the chilis last longer.
