Description

These are delicious pickled chili chipotle in a fine, fiery red marinade made from tomatoes and various spices. The Chipotle gives your food a sweet, smoky, fiery touch and tastes delicious with all kinds of dishes. The chipotle was probably invented by the Aztecs, probably in northern Mexico. It is said that the Aztecs smoked the chilies because the thick, fleshy jalapeño was difficult to dry and spoiled quickly. Smoking made the chillies durable for a longer period of time.
